Getting Help

If life is worth living, it’s worth living well.  To live well is to be wise.  It’s not easy to become wise.  Nobody can do it for you.  However, it really is possible to learn how to fill your life with more peace, abiding joy,  creativity, and love.  Living well is your birthright —  you just have to learn how to claim it and then do it.  A major obstacle is that usually nobody teaches us how to dissolve prolonged unwanted emotions or retard them from arising initially.  The unfortunate and unnecessary result is that they often leak their poison into our relationships, work, and leisure.  The resulting heaviness and stress undermine the quality of our lives.

Who is Dr. Bradford?

He received his doctorate from The University of Iowa in 1977.  He taught philosophy and humanities at SUNY Geneseo for 32 years.  He’s written over 30 books and been an Amazon bestselling author.  He’s a certified personal coach and a certified energy healer.  He’s a former member of MENSA and commissioned army officer.  He’s practiced meditation daily since 1994 and was accepted as a formal student by the Abbot of the Rochester Zen Center in 2000.

How to choose a coach?

There’s one critical criterion and 3 other criteria that are important:

A personal coach is like a hired friend.  You want to choose someone you like and with whom you’re able quickly to develop good rapport.  To find out, choose a coach who offers a free (or at least low-cost) introductory session.

You want to select someone who is an excellent listener.  That person should be able to listen deeply, nonjudgmentally, and with understanding.

You want a certified life coach.  Unfortunately, there’s no one standard certification that’s universally recognized as the best.  So, choose someone with training, but it’s important to choose someone who has already done what you’d like to do.

The most important criterion is that your coach should have a personal consciousness calibration higher than your own.  If you want to learn how to live better and be happier, you should select someone with a higher calibration than your own.  If you wanted to learn how to improve your chess game, you wouldn’t hire a chess teacher who was less skilled than you.  (If you request it, Dr. Bradford will give you your personal calibration after your free initial phone session.  His calibration is included with its bonus.)
